Berlin, Maryland district 4
One of our most diverse districts
-

Dream it.
District 4 of all of our districts is certainly the funniest looking district. And with that, we have possibly the most diversity. Berlin is already rather diverse, but since this district straddles Route 113, it covers both sides of our town. Some of this is caused by annexation, some of it is cause by Route 113. We need to reel in the annexations and plan before we let any more happen. I have dreams of a livable Berlin that is viable for another 12 generations to come and more after that. We do not remain viable through unfettered growth. To lookup your address to see which district you are in, go here. To see a PDF map of the districts, click here.

Build it.
In 2020, I ran for the at-large town council position, and lost the election. But I won exponentially. In the wake of that I started a non-profit, brought on 9 friends to be board members and we’ve already accomplished a lot. Through We ❤️ Berlin, we have raised over $34,000 to renovate Henry Park’s basketball courts with a giant mural and new equipment, we have raised $20,000 (through Ivy Wells and Oktoberfest) to create a table tennis park in Burbage Park, and are currently working towards a bike/skatepark at Henry Park. I am motivated, determined, and a professional communicator and people person. Creating this non-profit was a dream come true to build, and actually get things done. I look forward to more projects and more embellishments in Berlin!

Grow it.
I think that District 4 has some opportunity for growth in many ways. We can grow some commercial business opportunities. We can eliminate the food desert that is the Flower Street area. We can bring businesses and restaurants back to the Flower St area, and we can build more recreational projects on land already owned by the town. I also believe we can help the new Community Center come to fruition by ensuring that the funding needed is seen through to completion. Last but not least, I think that a springtime Flower Market and Festival on Flower Street should start in 2023.
