Communication is what I do

If I had to describe what my superpower is, I would tell you that it is a couple of traits wrapped up into me:

  • I am an empath

  • I help connect people

  • I am stubborn about finishing projects

  • Honest to a fault

  • I am a complete nerd

The biggest thing I find missing in our town hall in Berlin is good communication skills. I find it the case all-too-often that not enough heads-up was given, and lapses in communication exist between various departments and other staff. There should never be a Monday night council meeting where our team looks like they are playing ball for the first time. They should all be versed on topics, ready to debate, and make a good judgment based on their constituent’s wants, and needs.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO SAY THIS - THIS MUST STOP

We must begin to use tools and technology that have existed for a long time that we simply do not employ in the town hall. We are in 2026 - it’s time, and there is no room for excuses. I really feel like we need well-rounded people in our town hall, and that doesn’t just mean they have a job, do good things, go to church, raise a family, and are nice. It means they go the extra mile, they stay engaged, they appear at town events, and most of all COMMUNICATE like professionals. I know that I will bring a new brand of councilmember to the chambers. I have the technology background, the team leading background, the communication background to handle implementing many of these things, and the drive and determination to see projects through to completion.
