Berlin, Maryland — a coastal gem.
Most people in this town take a certain amount of pride and pleasure answering the question,
“Where do you live?”, and saying back to them “Berlin”, and then watching their eyes get wider as they say “isn’t that the place where Runaway Bride was filmed” among other accolades, and we reply back “yep, thats her, and we love it there.”
It’s a fun place to describe and we feel torn about where to start. Is it the sycamore-lined streets? The mid-19th century architecture? Is it the incredible local-made beer at Burley Oak? The giant mural on the courts at Henry Park? An orange crush or a warm cup of hot chocolate on the rocking chairs under a blanket at the Atlantic Hotel, or a hot cup of coffee at On What Grounds? All of us could go on, and on.
I have heard friends hesitate to answer this question before, excited to use all of the pertinent adjectives at once, and then ultimately choose to say… “Just come down and visit, you’ll understand.”
And it’s with that same proud fondness that I write this message for you. I love our town and I want to explain why you should vote for me on October 4th , 2022. Once elected I plan to prioritize the following: (each topic is a link you can click!)
